As a kid, I connected to the world through books. Now, I work to connect people to the information they need. In the past few years, this has meant dividing my time between my work as a qualitative analyst/researcher and my own writing and editing.

Previously, I’ve acted as a children’s and teen librarian in both private school and public library settings. I’ve also held a variety of roles editing, managing, and contributing to different Austin-based literary journals. And since 2013, I’ve been a reviewer for Kirkus Reviews—in indie and nonfiction until transitioning to focus solely on YA titles.

I keep this site alive to store my writing from now defunct literary journals and websites and to save a place for future blog posts. Regardless of where my career takes me, my foremost love continues to be books: reading them, writing and curating recommendations, and yes—even working on my own.

Everyone calls me Kimmy.
